Event concept
It is said that content out of Japan is currently generating renewed interest around the world with the EXPO 2025 scheduled to be held in Osaka, Kansai from April 2025 lying ahead. We started up the “SAKE 47® Project” as a vehicle to bring together domestically-produced liquor from all 47 prefectures across Japan in order to extensively promote to the world wonderful Japanese alcoholic beverages enjoyed together with Japanese cuisine. By combining a myriad of sake brought forth using Japan’s amazing techniques, including Japanese sake, shochu distilled spirits, Awamori and domestic whiskey, with various artists, chefs and creators, we will widely communicate information within and outside Japan on an appeal of Japan-produced alcoholic beverages different from that highlighted up to this point and begin our endeavors to expand demand for those beverages. This event is the commemorative opening event of the SAKE 47® Project. Attendees will be treated to a festival that brings together domestically-produced sake from all 47 prefectures across Japan together with fine food offerings from popular F&B establishments in the Kansai area, including Michelin-starred establishments, as well as live performances by musicians.
Featured Breweries and Sake Brands
